Inky Fingers - August

I have a monthly stamp club, formerly known as MISSION:EMBOSSIBLES. I give the girls "homework" in the form of a monthly contest, and called that "Operation: Inky Fingers." I just love my club members, and they have become such wonderful friends to me. (Awwww, shucks). :) The group has since changed their name to "Inky Fingers" and we are restarting a new club.

In August, we worked on these three projects - a 6x6 scrapbook page, a cardstock and cello purse, and a friendship card. So, if you missed our meeting, here is what you missed! :)

Back in the Saddle

I have not been keeping up with updating websites and blogs and galleries for all of my stamping artwork very well over the past year - actually for nearly 2 years. One of my SCS friends recently emailed me and asked the most horrible question - "ARE YOU STILL STAMPING??" Of course I am! Just not as much as I would like to. :( Unfortunately, juggling being a mom, college student, wife, etc., etc., etc., leaves me with not as much time to just update things as I would like. So, for the friend that asked me that question, this new blog is just for you - and for all of my other stamping friends and family that might be wondering the very same thing.

Sometimes we also lose our creativity for awhile. Sort of like how an author might have writer's block or something similar. The other day I was cleaning out my "crap" room (should be a CRAFT room, but has accumulated other crap), I came across a stamped watercolor flower from when I was teaching my downlines about Stampin' Up! Watercolor Wonder (R) crayons. As a friend was sitting among all of my piles of crap (likely in disbelief), I whipped up a card in less than 5 minutes with the image and a few other scraps. I also had to make an opportunity to use the new scallop edge punch by Stampin' Up!. :)

So, yes, I am still stamping. I may not update my blog every day - or even every month. BUT, I still manage to find time to fulfill my love for the smell of rubber, having inky fingers, and the feel of the cardstock running through my hands as I hear the sweet sound of the clicking and whizzing of my Stampin' Up! SNAIL adhesive.
